Herbaria Organic "Maria" Espresso Ground Coffee

"Maria" is an Italian-style espresso with a full-bodied aroma, dense crema, a balanced but strong character and very low acidity. It has the delicately sweet nuances of caramelised macadamia nuts and almonds as well as brown sugar.

The beans are cultivated, handpicked and processed on-site by local smallholders of the Majomut Union in the highlands of Chiapas, Mexico. In this way, the farmers receive a fair price for their product which is then shipped to Germany. The specialty roaster Dinzler (Bavaria, Germany) uses the so-called Slow Drum Roasting technique where the beans are uniformly exposed to hot air between 180 & 190°C. This gives them their unmistakable aroma.
