Description
The juniper berry is not a real berry. They are actually seed cones with a slightly resinous note. The bitter-sweet flavour of the juniper berries pair well with sauerkraut, hearty marinades, stews or gin.
Tip: Before you use the juniper berries, crush them in a mortar or grind them in a pepper mill, allowing their flavour to be slowly released.
