Description

The traditional Austrian Punschkrapferl or punch cakes are glazed with the typical Punschglasur or pink glaze. You can also use this glaze to give a delicious, shiny glaze to many other cakes, pastries and cookies. It dries quickly and is easy to use making it suitable for both experienced cooks and novices.

How to use: Place the container including the lid in a warm water bath for about 5 minutes. The water temperature should be around 40°C and make sure that it does not boil. Alternatively, you can heat it without the lid at 600W in the microwave for 25 - 30 seconds. Stir quickly to mix well. The glaze dries quickly. One container is enough for a cake with a diameter of 22 cm.

Tip: Spread a thin layer of jam on your cakes or pastries before glazing.
